Buz-a-Bus – Where everybody knows your name

You have probably seen our purple and white bus around town a time or two, and it is likely that Ms. Lavenia Neal has been on it.  Ms. Neal is a frequent passenger on Buz-A-Bus, and we asked her to share her story…

I am fortunate to live in an apartment building that is in an area central to many of the places I need to go, but some of those places are not within walking distance. About four years ago, I asked the staff at my complex if they knew of a business that provided transportation. They mentioned that another tenant used a service called Buz-a-Bus all the time. Then I asked the girls at my beauty parlor, and they also mentioned Buz-a-Bus; they knew the driver and praised him highly.

I promptly called the Bus Line and answered a few simple questions. Then a lady came to my home to do an assessment (asking me more questions) and gave me a sheet of paper with guidelines for making appointments to use the bus. She then told me I could begin using Buz-A-Bus immediately, so I called the Bus Line and set up my first ride. I now ride about twice a week, going to hair appointments, doctor visits, meetings and socials at my church, shopping, and all sorts of errands.

Without Buz-a-Bus, I could still get around town because I have lots of friends that can take me, or I could call a taxi, but Buz-A-Bus is so dependable: I say that it always gets me “to the wedding on time.” I think the service is such a success because of the personalities of the driver and staff. Don and Auburn run one of the most organized systems I have ever participated in. Don really keeps the atmosphere fun, too. I love the personal touch the staff provides, and my fellow riders are really pleasant, too. I try to advertise Buz-A-Bus now to get more people to ride! From beginning to end, Buz-A-Bus is a great experience.
